Free Practice Tests

ACT

The ACT is a college entrance exam that tests content knowledge in math, science, English, and reading (with an optional writing portion).

The test is 3 hours long (technically 2 hours and 55 minutes). Including breaks, the exam takes 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete. If you sign up for the optional essay (the ACT Plus Writing), the test clocks in at 3 hours and 40 minutes or just over 4 hours with breaks.

 

Users who sign up with ACT.org receive access to a free ACT study guide, a full-length practice test with all four sections and a writing prompt, and helpful test-taking strategies. 

 

Kaplan Test Prep

Kaplan has multiple free ACT prep options available, including ACT classes, events, and a practice test. The free online ACT practice test is a half-length version, however the test uses official ACT questions from all four sections of the ACT.. Kaplan also offers short ACT pop quizzes that use real ACT questions and provide answer explanations. You can also sign up to receive a daily email with an ACT question of the day.

The Princeton Review - Wikipedia

Free ACT online prep  full-length practice test. Once completed  you'll receive an in-depth score report that identifies your biggest strengths and weaknesses. The ACT prep free trial (14 days)  is a self-paced program with test-taking strategies ,  video lessons and opportunities to practice through drills.

 

 

 

SAT

The SAT is a college  entrance exam comprised of two sections: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math. The Evidence-Based Reading and Writing is comprised of two tests, one focused on Reading and one focused on Writing & Language. The Math section is comprised of a single test with two components - a no-calculator portion and a calculator-allowed portion. The test is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test created and administered by the College Board. 

The SAT clocks in at 3 hours (3 hours and 15 minutes with breaks). And if you choose to sign up for the optional essay, the SAT takes 3 hours and 50 minutes to complete (or 4 hours, 5 minutes with breaks).

On the College Board's website to help you prepare for the exam. There are free sample questions and free SAT practice tests you can download.  Practice tests come with detailed answer keys, which give you insight into how the SAT is scored.

 

Khan Academy | Free Online Courses, Lessons & Practice

 The College Board partners with Khan Academy  to offer free SAT practice tests, personalized to every student. Students can work through eight exams on Khan's website, receiving immediate feedback on their progress. Students can learn test-taking tips through videos and interactive lessons.

The Princeton Review review offers several Free SAT resources. There is a free SAT  online practice with comprehensive feedback,  as well as free online courses.
