The SHS Civil Rights Club has created a series of video read-alouds of picture books which represent either their ancestral origins and identities or have special meaning for them. The aim is to create a library of videos for the elementary schools where they see older kids like them from their own community. The read-alouds may also be used to help to develop the Identity Anchor Standards as identified by Southern Poverty Law Center.
